New Routines

Thank-you to everyone who has been thinking about Goldie! She is doing much better. Actually, I think she's trying to make up for lost time (and weight) by eating non-stop. I still have to remind her to drink most of the time.

The only time she stops eating is to sleep.

I've spent the last week getting the big girls into their new school routine. I am homeschooling all of them again. Fortunately, the oldest takes online classes through a cyber school, so I only have to teach her math. We have been working very hard to make up the days missed while I was taking care of Goldie. With the baby due in December this is not the year to fall behind!

Mini Me's first day of school!

I have been absent for a while, I'm thinking this has to do with her tonsils and adenoids being taken out. It took Adam 2 full weeks before I could get him to eat or drink, he lost so much weight I remember crying I was so worried!!!! I'm so glad that is behind us! Looks like Goldie is doing great! Good luck with home schooling! I really was thinking about you just yesterday and wondering when your baby was due!! December will be here before you know it!

Goodness, December is not far away :) What a neat xmas pressie for you all. Glad to hear she's doing better. I recently read that kids with DS have longer growth spurts and longer periods without than other kids, so their growth is not a curve on the chart. Wish I'd known that before! She's looking great. Brandie - I'm so glad Goldie is doing better! I had tonsillitis for a week and totally missed all of the T&A posts. I woke up this morning thinking that I hadn't read any recent posts from you. Glad she's feeling better and that your school is well started!

I'm glad to hear she is doing so much better, too! A boy with Ds in Sean's class weighed 34 lbs (what Sean weighs now) before his T & A surgery, just 6 mo later he weighs 49 lbs! He had a huge growth spurt after the removal! Dang, wish Sean would pack on some pounds.

Good luck keeping up with school work!
